What Is Sky Devices?
Sky Devices is a U.S.-based mobile phone manufacturer from Miami, Florida. Its mission is to manufacture high-quality mobile devices that come with an attractive design, powerful technology, and affordable prices. All devices are created in the U.S. and offer advanced features, durability, and comfort.
In addition to smartphones and feature phones, Sky Devices also offers tablets and wearables. All of their products are high-quality, yet relatively inexpensive.
Does Sky Devices Directly Offer Free Government Tablets?
Sky Devices is a phone, tablet, and wearables manufacturer and manufacturers generally do not offer government assistance programs. Just like other manufacturers, such as Apple, Samsung, Motorola, LG, and so on, Sky Devices also does not offer its own Lifeline or Affordable Connectivity Program (ACP – former Emergency Broadband Benefit or EBB), nor does it offer free Sky Devices government tablets or phones directly.
However, certain service providers offer both Lifeline monthly services and devices, such as smartphones and tablets.
How Can I Get Sky Devices Tablets for Free if Sky Devices Doesn’t Directly Offer Free Tablets?
Even though Sky Devices doesn’t directly offer free tablets or smartphones, there are several Lifeline and Affordable Connectivity Program (former Emergency Broadband Benefit) providers that offer free Sky Devices government tablets and phones.
To clarify: Lifeline is a government assistance program by the FCC to help make communications services more affordable for low-income consumers. Affordable Connectivity Program, on the other hand, is a new government program designed to fund digital tools for low-income families. This program offers eligible customers a $30 (or $75 on Tribal lands) discount toward internet services and a one-time discount of up to $100 to purchase a desktop computer, laptop, or tablet.
Indeed, many Lifeline and ACP providers offer both free Sky Devices government tablets and smartphones to eligible low-income customers. To get a free Sky Devices government tablet or phone from any of these providers, you must meet a number of eligibility requirements, which we will learn more about in the next section.
However, unfortunately, no Lifeline and/or ACP provider allows you to choose the device you will receive. The device you get is usually mid-range and does not come with the most advanced features. As some providers offer tablets and others offer free phones (but not both), you will only know what kind of a device to expect, however, the exact brand and model will remain unknown. As such, when applying for a free government tablet there is no way of knowing whether or not you will receive a free Sky Device government tablet or a tablet from another brand.
