How to Unlock a TruConnect SIM Card?
A SIM card is a smart card that users can put into their mobile devices, which carries an identification number, personal data, account data, service, and the plan of the carrier that issued it. For instance, TruConnect’s SIM card is the holder of TruConnect’s services and can only ever be used on TruConnect. A SIM card cannot be carrier-unlocked, instead, if you wish to use a TruConnect SIM card with another carrier’s phone, it is the phone that must be carrier-unlocked, which is a very common practice.
When you sign up for TruConnect’s services, you can bring your own phone to the provider. However, to do so, the phone must be carrier-unlocked and compatible with TruConnect’s services. If your phone is carrier-locked, you must unlock it first. To carrier-unlock your phone, you must contact the carrier that sold you the device and ask them to unlock it. They will usually be able to do so remotely, however, your phone must be eligible for unlocking (paid off entirely, not connected to any fraudulent activity, etc.).
You can, however, unlock a TruConnect SIM card in another way. If you are using the PIN security code, which is designed to protect your SIM card and your phone from being used by other people, you have to unlock it every time you turn on your phone. To do so, you must simply turn on the device and enter your SIM’s PIN code. In case you forgot this code, it’s best not to guess, as one too many wrong attempts will block your SIM card and device permanently. Instead, you should enter your PUK code or call your customer support service to ask if they can help you unlock your phone. This form of unlocking is security unlocking, however, it has nothing to do with carrier unlocking.
